Karun Nair out of Duleep Trophy with fractured finger

India batter Karun Nair is ruled out of the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2025 season with a fractured finger. This comes on the back of a disappointing Engalnd tour for him personally.

The Karnataka batter scored only 205 runs in the series, with one fifty-plus score in the first innings of the Oval Test. Karun scored a couple of 40s and got good starts, but he managed just one half-century.

The batter was included in the side on the back of his consistent performances in domestic cricket. He was chosen ahead of Shreyas Iyer in the Test side, despite Shreyas being in good form in domestic cricket himself.
