Yuzvendra Chahal is in the news for his recent interview with podcaster Raj Shamani. The Punjab Kings (PBKS) player spoke at length about diverse topics ranging from his personal life to playing under all three captains - MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma. When quizzed about who among the three is the best captain to play with, the leg spinner did not take one name in particular but instead described each captain in his unique words.

Describing Rohit Sharma, the PBKS player said, " I love Rohit Bhai, the way he stays on the ground, the way he leads the side, he is a very successful captain." For Kohli, Chahal, like everyone, raves about the legendary batter, spoke about the insane amount of energy, be it in any situation of the game, winning or losing. It is always right up there.

The leg spinner also spoke about how he saw Kohli cry for the first time during India's loss in the semi-final match against New Zealand in ODI World Cup 2019. The Haryana bowler said he saw everyone shed a tear that day, as it also happened to be Dhoni's last match.

Mahi Bhai's advice to stay in the present situation helped me a lot: Chahal

Speaking about Dhoni, Chahal said that the CSK star always shared a simple advice to be in the present moment, rather than focusing on the future. The wicketkeeper-batter has spoken on several interviews about how he likes to stay in the present moment and not dwell too much on the past and future.

Speaking about Chahal, he is currently out of favor with the national teams in both white-ball formats, as other spinners like Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, and Varun Chakaravarthy have edged him in the pecking order. While the door is not shut on the PBKS player, he needs to show fine form in domestic and IPL cricket to storm back into the Indian team. Currently, he is playing County cricket and trying to stay in the best possible shape.
