Sundar and Jadeja both scores centuries

Team India managed to draw the fourth Test in Manchester and in the process still kept the Test series alive. The series scoreline reads 2-1 at the moment, but India gained more out of the Test match than England.

India’s batting resilience in the second innings was started by KL Rahul and Shubman Gill. India lost two wickets in the very first over and from there on Rahul and Gill added 188 runs for the third wicket.

Once the two were dismissed, the good work was carried on by Ravindra Jadeja (10& off 185 balls) and Washington Sundar (101* off 206 balls). The batters backed Shubman Gill’s ninth Test ton and a brilliant knock of 90 runs from KL Rahul.

Tendulkar, Laxman Hail India's Batting Effort In Manchester

With the efforts of the middle and the lower-order, India not only managed to lessen the deficit but also managed to give England the lead in the second innings. In the process, they tired the England bowlers out so much so that the England bowlers and fielders were frutrated by the end of the final session on day five. They tried to get under the skin of Jadeja and Sundar but they did not give up.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar and former Indian batter VVS Laxman led the wishes for Team India’s terrific effort with the bat to draw the Test match.

"When it comes to India-England, Old Trafford is known for keeping the series alive. Congratulations, Team India, on a fantastic comeback. @klrahul, @ShubmanGill, @imjadeja, and @Sundarwashi5, showed great character and fighting spirit. Good luck for the final Test. Go India!” Tendulka wrote on his official Twitter handle.

His wish was followed by Laxman who hailed the grit and the determination from the likes of Jadeja and Sundar.

"Fabulous display of resilience and character by KL, Shubman, Jaddu and Washi to secure a draw in Manchester. It's indeed a significant achievement considering the challenging situation India faced. Good luck for the last game, Team India” Laxman wrote.

The likes of Irfan Pathan, Yuvraj Singh among others also praised India's batting effort in Manchester.

Series Wide Open For India

The Test series is still alive for the Indian team heading into the final Test at The Oval. They can eventually draw the series if they win the fifth Test match. Meanwhile, England are leading by 2-1 and needs to will be gunning for a win as well.
