India's Mr. Fix It KL Rahul (77) came to Delhi Capitals (DC)'s rescue as the opening batter's classy knock took his team to a powerful total o 183 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match number 17 of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Rahul, who was promoted to open the innings in the absence of Faf du Plessis, made a blistering 33-ball 50 and took on CSK's trump card Noor Ahmad. Rahul played the anchor role to perfection and made sure DC posted a challenging score on a relatively good batting surface in Chepauk.
For the unversed, DC got off to a poor star as they lost Jake Fraser-McGurk for a duck. However, Rahul, as well Abhishek Porel (33) ensured DC score 50 runs in the power play without losing further wickets. After Porel's dismissal, Sameer Rizvi stitched a 50-plus partnership with Rahul.
