In the aftermath of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan and the subsequent one week of suspension of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season, South African Cricketers' Association (SACA), and Cricket Australia (CA) have expressed massive concerns regarding players safety and welfare. Tensions escalated when Punjab Kings vs Delhi Capitals game on May 08 in Dharamshala was called off due to security issues.
BCCI had a massive task to ensure players and support staff members of PBKS and DC were swiftly evacuated from the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. A lot of foreign players have raised their concerns regarding the current war-like situation between India and Pakistan.
"The health and safety of players is not negotiable. We are in direct contact with all the South African players at the IPL and keeping them updated with security reports. We have offered them any support they need," Andrew Breetzke, the chief executive of the South African Cricketers' Association, said.

CA also echoed SACA's thoughts and is continuously monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan. It is also regularly in touch with the Australian Government.
"We continue to closely monitor the situation in Pakistan and India, including obtaining regular advice and updates from the Australian Government, the PCB, BCCI, and local government authorities, and maintaining communication with our players and support staff currently in the region."
