The loss came as a big shock to the franchise, from which they could not recover. That resulted in the side losing back-to-back games. Their last win was against CSK on April 11.
Punjab Kings, on the other hand, are placed fifth on the IPL 2025 points table with 10 points from their first 8 games. Given the squad that they have, they will back themselves to win three out of their remaining six games, which takes them to 16 points, which gives them more than a chance to make the playoffs. Having beaten KKR at home, Punjab would back themselves to do the double over the Knight Riders.
