Legendary cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin rarely loses his cool on the cricket field. However, the year 2025 has been a year for the first in sports. The unexpected happened, and the off-spinner lost his cool in the ongoing ninth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL 2025) season. During the game against IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, the veteran bowler was given out LBW, which he thought was not out. However, as it stands, Ashwin had to leave the ground disappointed and angry.

The incident occurred during the fifth over of the Dindigul Dragons innings when Ashwin and his batting partner Shivam Singh had steadied the innings after the fall of the opening wicket. Sai Kishore bowled a normal ball that just turned a bit away from Ashwin, who was struck on his front pad after failing to connect a sweep attempt. As the Tiruppur players appealed, the umpire raised his finger.

However, replays showed it was the wrong decision that cut short the off-spinner's innings. The ball pitched outside the leg stump, and the all-rounder was bitterly disappointed with the decision and tried to tell the umpire through his words and actions. However, the decision was made, and he had to walk back to the pavilion, looking angry and frustrated.
