Yashasvi Jaiswal Personal Life

Yashasvi Jaiswal Family Background & Early Life,

Yashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal was born on December 28, 2001, in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, to Bhupendra Jaiswal and Kanchan Jaiswal. He was the youngest of four siblings - two elder sisters and one elder brother. His father was the owner of a small hardware store, and his mother was a homemaker. While people speculate that he might be from a Hindu family, as is usually the case with people with the Jaiswal surname, Yashasvi himself has not confirmed his background. He comes from a very modest family where they didn’t have enough to accommodate his cricketing aspirations. Eventually, he made a name for himself and is now doing quite well. He stands at 6’0” (183 cm) tall, which is the average for batsmen in 2025.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Education Qualification & Early Influences

Jaiswal studied at BPMG Public School in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh. However, he couldn’t continue his studies there due to his family’s financial constraints. At age 10, driven by a passion for cricket, he moved to Mumbai to receive cricket training at Azad Maidan. There, he found shelter at a dairy shop where he worked in exchange for money. However, due to his practice sessions interfering with his work, he was thrown out of the shop by the shopkeeper. He then started selling panipuri and found shelter with the groundsmen in the Maidan to earn some money. After spending 3 years in such harsh conditions, his cricketing talent was finally spotted by Jwala Singh, who was a coach at a cricket academy in Santacruz. Singh became his legal guardian and provided him with a place to stay as well. Under Singh’s mentorship, Jaiswal sharpened his skills as a cricketer and finally exploded onto the scene in 2015. His history is one of intense dedication to his craft, sacrifice and a classic rags-to-riches story in modern times, which may serve as an inspiration to many.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Relationships & Marriage

Jaiswal is a bachelor and has not been married yet. On social media, you will find rumours about Maddie Hamilton, a UK-based student, and Jaiswal dating. However, there is no concrete evidence to support the same. Rumours started circulating because Maddie was spotted in multiple matches donning Jaiswal’s jersey and showing support for him. In April 2025, she also posted an Instagram post with her brother, Henry, and Jaiswal, which fueled the speculation even more. But then again, these are just rumours that neither Jaiswal nor Hamilton have confirmed publicly.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Residence, Assets & Lifestyle

Jaiswal owns a large 5 BHK apartment in Thane, Mumbai, which was acquired by him in 2023. The residence comes with a blend of modern design and European aesthetics, and he moved there with his family in 2023. He also bought another residence in Bandra East, Mumbai, which was registered on January 7, 2024. The opulent 1,100 sq ft apartment is located on Wing 3 of the X BKC complex and is valued at Rs 5.4 crore. His residences are a trophy for his modest beginnings and sacrifice, and serve as an example of hard work and dedication.

His car collection, albeit limited, boasts of the Mercedes-Benz CLA 200, Tata Harrier and Mahindra Thar. Given that his stardom is on the rise, it is not unusual for his collection to expand far beyond this in the near future. Despite his current status as a rising star of Indian cricket, he stays grounded and humble, always remembering his roots. His lifestyle is also one of commitment to his craft. He wakes up early, attends strenuous practice sessions, and then consumes proper nutrition and gets adequate sleep for the next day.

Yashasvi Jaiswal Passions & Off-Field Interests

Jaiswal is focused solely on cricket, with the game being on his mind for most of the day. He seeks mentorship from senior players and always looks for ways to sharpen his skills. He loves his practice sessions and is patient and resilient towards achieving his goals. He is very disciplined and doesn’t stray far away from his modest lifestyle. He listens to music to help him relax, just like any other athlete. He hasn’t shared much about his passions and hobbies other than cricket, but it is certain that he is extremely dedicated to becoming a successful player for his country in the future.

Jaiswal has stated his interest in a charitable foundation where he wants to uplift the younger and underprivileged kids to play cricket and support them with the required resources. He has also taken good care of his family, supporting them and moving them into his luxurious apartment once he bought it. His Instagram post displays his dedication and a deep respect for his teammates and his mentors, and senior players.

In the same season, on 30 April 2023, he scored his first-ever century in IPL with 124 runs off 63 balls against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, which is the second highest individual score in an IPL match at the stadium. He scored the quickest half-century in IPL history off 13 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders and surpassed the previous jointly-held record by KL Rahul and Pat Cummins. Yashasvi Jaiswal Injuries, Rehab & Fitness Management

Jaiswal suffered from a pain in his left ankle during a practice session ahead of the Ranji Trophy against Vidarbha. He was sidelined for the semifinal match and there were fears of it being a recurrence rather than a one-time thing. Jaiswal was taken to BCCI’s Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for treatment. There, the medical professionals laid out a rehab program for the young batsman to help him get back on the pitch. He made his return in the opening match of the season for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 season against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Jaiswal, as discussed earlier, is a highly dedicated professional who maintains a strict training regimen and practice sessions, where he is known to sometimes overdo himself and put unnecessary strain on his body. While his unwavering motivation is surely admirable, he should focus on equal part training and equal part rest if he wants to avoid such injuries in the future.
